Amount of rent.Unless the property is subject to rent control laws, there are no restrictions on the amount of rent charged. Certain cities in California, the District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey and New York have rent control laws.

Where the rent should be paid.Specify where the rent payments should be mailed or delivered. If the Landlord or Agent is on-site, perhaps payments can be collected there to avoid Tenant excuses regarding lost mail.
